A 15-year-old boy died Sunday after he was shot late Friday in north Charlotte.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the shooting was reported at 10:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Mallard Park Drive, which is in the University City Division.
When officers got there, they found the boy with an apparent gunshot wound, lying near apartments in the area. He was taken to a hospital and died Sunday.
Because of the child’s age, CMPD did not release his name.
