CMPD investigating the death of a 17-year-old
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating the death of a 17-year-old Thursday in the Sugar Creek area.
Police identified the victim as Vladimir Antonio Garcia.
On Thursday, just before 6:55 a.m., officers responded to a welfare call at 3900 Sofley Road.
When officers got there, they found a victim with a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim dead on scene.
