Man found fatally wounded in northeast Charlotte

A 46-year-old man has died after being shot Tuesday evening in northeast Charlotte.

Authorities have identified the victim as Richard Marshall Jr.

According to a statement by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, shortly before 5:15 p.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 3500 block of South Tryon Street. 

When officers arrived, they located a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound.  The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.

As of Wednesday evening, the police had announced no arrest.
