Teen found dead after being shot in north Charlotte
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating the death of a 19-year-old who was shot Tuesday in west Charlotte.
Police have identified the victim as Yimere Joyner.
According to a statement by CMPD, shortly before 5:00 p.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call in the 1700 block of Camp Greene Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim unresponsive from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.
